Ascension is a small congregation filled to overflowing with the Spirit of Jesus. Although only 80 members and with annual offerings of $75K CAN, we serve hundreds of non-Christian individuals in our Parc-Extension community with the mercy of Christ and the Word of his Grace through English classes, open houses and fellowship meals—and samosas, of course!
Since September 2024 we have had seven adult baptisms and four adult confirmations, with many dozens of Sikh, Muslim and Hindu members attending our worship services and Bible studies regularly. On Easter over 75 people attended worship, of whom 1/3rd were non-member guests. Our average monthly open house attendance has been 46; our average English class attendance has been 37.
Thanks to your support, we are able to do far more than our small numbers would otherwise allow. Thank you for partnering with us, the only confessional Lutheran church in our city of 4.3 million.
