Read our July 2017 St-Onge Newsletter and hear about Ascension’s first children’s summer week in many years. We were so thrilled to work together with our new friends from The Lutheran Church of Vestavia Hills, Birmingham, Alabama. Thanks to the Ahlemeyers, the Moonies, and Vicar Luke Watt for their help. Ascension’s own Gail Spence provided awesome themed snacks, with the assistance of her husband Bruce and of Veronica Sangster. Deb St-Onge did a brilliant job leading the week’s music. Our theme was “A Mighty Fortress.” We started with Genesis 1-3, stopped off at Solomon’s Temple in 1 Kings 6-8, heard Jesus’ Most Important Question Ever™, found out how we become living bricks in a new fortress (Acts 2:38-42), and visualized the New City Fortress yet to come (Revelation 21).
